About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Legal Counsel / Compliance Officer to join our growing investment firm in Hong Kong. This hybrid role covers a broad range of legal and regulatory matters related to venture capital investments, fund operations, and corporate governance. You will be responsible for ensuring legal integrity and regulatory compliance across all business activities in Asia and globally.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Law degree from a reputable university; admission to practice law in Hong Kong or another common law jurisdiction
• 3–7 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal/compliance role, preferably within venture capital, private equity, or financial services
• Solid knowledge of Hong Kong’s regulatory environment, especially SFC regulations
• Experience with cross-border investment structures and offshore jurisdictions (e.g., Cayman, BVI) is a strong advantage
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written); Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus
• High level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial setting
